16 Geological Survey Bulletins - New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Mexico
Published by the Department of the
Interior at the Government Printing Office (Washington). 17 Softcovers, with 16 different titles as there is one duplicate, are faded
along the spine and edges. The covers also have creases, wrinkles, and minor
nicks and tears. The previous owner's name is written in pen on several of the
front covers. Several of the pages throughout the set have been or are
currently dog-eared. There are loose-leaf maps in folders on the inside of the
rear covers of many of the volumes. There does not appear to be any writing in
the bulletins. The number of maps included in the volumes versus the number available
is unknown; please send specific questions or requests for more information on
the maps included. Overall, aside from the issues noted below with bulletin 770
and 914,the bulletins are in Good Plus (G+) condition.
The bulletins included in the set
are as follows:
Geological Survey Bulletin 770
- The Data of Geochemistry 5th Ed. 1954 reprint - Clarke. The spine is creased
from being opened. The volume smells strongly of cologne, which appears to have
been spilled on the front spine head and stained the cover.
Geological Survey Bulletin 914
- Microscopic Determination of the Ore Materials 2nd Ed. reprinted 1948 - M.N. Short.
The spine head is chipped away and the signatures beneath exposed. The number
of the bulletin is written on the spine.
