And while 1095 is a top choice for professional cutlery designed for hard use, it will rust and stain if not properly cared for especially on the cutting edge and around the laser engraving. It is the user's responsibility to keep the blades properly lubricated and cleaned. We suggest using a dry film rust inhibitor such as TUF-GLIDE or TUF-CLOTH.

This 12" Overall Bowie is a beauty, the 5 Star Stag Handle is one piece rounded but left with a ton of natural stag on it. look at the size of the stag 3 1/4" long 4" Dia. to 4 1/4" some do vary it is a natural material. On each end of the stag are four Red Spacers and three Brass spacers then two 2" Finger Guards and a 2" Butt both Brass. Plus it weighs 12.9oz. 15.7oz. with sheath. H & R also added a Blood Groove on the 7 1/2" long 1095 Stainless Blade that is 1 1/2" wide and 3/16" thick Its full tang construction hidden so we know it is one of the strongest knives made one piece of German 1095 Stainless steel. Model # HR-185.
Unheard of lately to get a piece of 5 star stag like this and it is from the same Bin as the HR-805,

It comes with a genuine Leather Belt Sheath. For now this is the only one we have but we were told H & R brought a full bin of 5 star stag and paid a small fortune for it, we know they will be making these 12 " Bowie plus some Gut Hook knives and we will buy all we can. I spoke to my Rep over the weekend and got the list of knives being made and had 1 of each shipped to us next day air here are the new numbers HR-805, HR-185, HR-184, HR-0040, & HR-0070. We sold 12 of these from our 1st order out of the 5 styles this was the top seller HR-185, What we do not know is if we can get more of these knives we believe it all depends on how fast these sell.
On 2/23/21 we brought all that Hen & Rooster had left of these we do not know if they can make anymore we just wanted to make sure the people that buy from us could get one if they wanted too. So far this is by far the best selling of the 5 new knives they made.
