SF: CDMG Special Report 48, August 1956. 11" X 8 1/2", pp 17 with 4 figures; 5 plates in pocket; original wrappers. Very good. Not ex-library. Describes the mines and mineral deposits (mostly tungsten) of this district located in the southern part of Mono County, 12 miles northwest of Bishop. The Black Rock Mine ranked second in the production of tungsten concentrates in California, and the sixth largest in the United States. Ore consists of scheelite-bearing contact-metamorphic tactite deposits.
